About

Hey, thanks for stopping by. I’m gonna buck tradition a little here and write my own bio.Why not!

I was born in Calif. back in 1967. Dad was in the Air Force, so we traveled alot. We settled down in NM where I went to high school and attended the University of New Mexico. Sometime around 1995 I realized I needed A change and a road trip was in order. The destination was New York City and the mission was creative stimulation. Well what started out as a 6 month experiment turned into a 6 year love affair with a city that mbraces life and overwhelms with creative passion. I Studied at The International Center Of Photography and soon became inspired by creative minds from all over the world. I began working in the darkroom and assisting classes at ICP allowing me to learn even more. I met such amazing minds and started assisting stablished photographers in Fashion, Architectural, Jewelry, Portrait, and Interior work.

So with my creative passion realized, I set out to do my own work. Like most new photogs, I started with a lot of headshots, weddings and events. Then one day I received a call from an agency that needed shots of Miss America contestants in Speedo clothing on Madison Avenue. Of course I’ll do it! The catch: 8 inches of snow and blizzard like conditions. So here I am on Madison Ave. with snow falling and taxi cabs sliding all over the road with about 10 Miss America contestants in Speedo swim wear posing in the middle of the street. The result: the shots were published in Women's Wear Daily. My big break in the most unlikely of conditions. I then began shooting for an online company called Eisnor Interactive for about 2 years. Clients included Staples.com, CNNSI.com, Dealtime.com, Mindspring.com, The Street.com and many more. At the same time shooting fashion shows, dance performances on Broadway, and a naked wedding for hat designer Ivy Supersonic. So why did I leave NYC you ask? Well behind every great creative mind(I’m reaching) one day you find that person that is an even greater mind and inspiration. We refound each other in NY. after dating 15 years prior.

We decided to test the warm waters of Maui for 9 months. Well lets just say that it was an amazing experience, but most of the work was either weddings, luaus, or scenic photography. So in late 2001 we moved back to NM. and bought an old adobe home in the Old Town area. Starting a new business in a new market from scratch was a challenge, yet having an art form that I have so much passion for made the transition a lot easier.

Over the last 2 years I have really developed a style I am very proud of. A fellow photog labeled it as atmospheric and encompassing the feeling of a space. I really try to capture the feeling of where I am and allow the existing light to permeate the space. I don't feel like every situation should be overwhelmed by the so called “Perfect Lighting”. I now focus my efforts on Interiors,Architecture, and Beauty and Fashion. I am currently working with home builders and cabinet makers in Santa Fe and Albq. such as Suzanne Williams Incorporated and Hanks House Cabinetry. I also continue to work with retail clients such as Chez D’Or Salon, Ruby Shoesday, Jack Flash, and Seasons restaurant.

We were blessed on 11/12/2003 with the birth of Nadine Coulie. Now everything seems to be in place. Owning my own photo business and being able to learn and grow with every new project is a dream come true. I hope to continue to work locally and expand to regional and national cliental. Thanks for supporting small business.
